Posh Purple

Kim designed a plush palette of purples for this large Muslim wedding.
The aisle runner was lavender with chocolate writing…so pretty!
Kim used rich chocolate linens, with a mixture of amethyst, eggplant and lilac satin runners and napkins. It was such an appealing combination – and as always, everything from the custom invitations right through to the menus, table numbers and seating chart all matched. Everything had a lovely mehndi patterns, and the delicate and intricate pattern used for the gobos and ice martini luge were a huge hit with the guests.
The professional dancers that performed intermittently throughout the reception were fabulous…and the bride and groom had the perfect view from their table adjacent the dance floor. The flowers, the up-lighting, everything looked just sumptuous.
Kim did a superb job designing and executing the big picture – but she also left her mark, and more importantly the couple’s mark, on all of the little details as well. Kim made sure every penny of their budget was utilized for maximum effect.
PRETTY IN PURPLE!!
One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish

One of Kim’s clients REALLY wanted fish in their centerpieces…I think this was the first time we’ve done this in over a decade. The wee fish kept startling the staff as they were putting out the place settings…you don’t really expect things to move while you’re putting out flatware! (You’ll be happy to hear she convinced the bride not to flush them at the end of the night…poor lil’ fishies!!).
Their lovely outdoor ceremony just managed to squeak in before the torrential down pour began…nothing like a well executed timeline…Kim apparently has an “in” with Mother Nature!
The custom seating chart – as well as the rest of the wedding day printing (menus, table numbers, place cards) – was beautifully designed by MyStylishWedding.Com – SO PRETTY! It all beautifully tied in their invitations, and their colour palette of purple, black & oyster.
The cake – artfully produced by one of our favorite new pastry chefs – looked just SCRUMPTIOUS – and was accessorized with an elegant monogram cake topper (also from mystylishwedding.com) which matched the font on the invitations and aisle runner. I was sad I wasn’t going to be around long enough to get to try it…SUCH a great job they did…wow!
Kim did an amazing job of making the ballroom warm & inviting, simple & elegant…lots of bang for their buck on the client’s relatively small budget…well done Kim!
Keep Calm & Eat a Cupcake

Could these cupcake wrappers BE any cuter??!!?? We LOOOOOVE them. So much so Kim is practically inventing reasons to use them – friend’s birthdays, bridal showers, baby showers, it’s Thursday! You name it…

To be honest, for a while I was kind of sick of the whole cupcake thing – but these pretty little wrappers have rejuvinated my love for them. We’re always coming up with unique ways to present the cupcakes at the wedding or shower, but hadn’t thought of dressing up the individual cupcakes.
Some of them even have fun patterns on the inside…SO PRETTY…cupcake anyone?
Perfection in the Park
Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009 | testimonials, trends, weddings | No Comments
This is the scrumptious wedding that Kim executed a couple of weeks ago.
From the standing ceremony in the park to the elegant damask paired with yummy reds & oranges and black candelabras it was exactly what the bride & groom had dreamed of (with Kim’s expert design input, of course!).
This was the email waiting for Kim a couple of days after the wedding:
Hello Kim,
We can’t thank-you enough for how amazing everything turned out, I’m still in awe mode from all of it. Every couple I know that gets married will be referred to you because I want them to experience a wedding day like ours
Thanks again
Sincerely, Nicole
The bride screamed & jumped up & down for so long when she got her sneak peak of the ballroom the photographer felt compelled to come in & document it…we can’t wait to see the photos!

ABC Conference Newport Beach
Friday, December 19th, 2008 | travel, trends | No Comments
Kim, Valeeshia & I recently attended the ABC (Assoc. of Bridal Consultants) Annual Conference in Newport Beach, CA. It brought together wedding planners from all over the globe – so not only can we stay abreast of the latest and greatest trends in the US – but also find out what the top planners around the world are up to.
There were lots of great workshops, seminars and events. The first evening there was a photo booth on site – which is always a fun addition to any wedding…you’ll get some great & crazy candids of your guests. This particular booth gives a copy to your guests but also keeps on on file so you as host will get a copy of all the photos. So fun!
There was also a “white event” where everyone was required to dress all in white. I personally have done a monochromatic event like this in California – but haven’t done one in Canada…whether you choose white, or black, or even pink…it certainly makes for great group shots.
